Lorinda Dauphinee never really knew her grandmother but when she is given her diaries after her grandmother's funeral she has the opportunity to get to know her better. Lorinda is thirteen when her grandmother dies. Because her grandmother leaves Lorinda all of her diaries, Lorinda soon gains a new perspective into her grandmother’s life when she too was thirteen.
