Lorinda is thirteen when her grandmother dies. Because her grandmother leaves Lorinda all of her diaries, Lorinda soon gains a new perspective into her grandmother’s life when she too was thirteen. Lorinda learns that her grandmother’s struggles as a thirteen-year old were not that different from Lorinda’s current problems.
