Kevin Frasier changes schools often, since his father, a single parent, moves from town to town constantly in search of work. At his latest high school, Kevin falls in with a bad group of teenage bullies and their ring-leader, Nick. The gang manages to intimidate everyone in school except for one teenage girl named Erin. After learning of Nick’s plot to carry Erin off into the woods at night and shave her head, Kevin finds them, saves Erin from being sexually assaulted, and suffers a severe beating at the hands of Nick. Kevin recovers from his injuries and returns to school to find he is still in danger after being labeled a snitch. Forced to start over, Kevin meets Erin at their new school, and they make the first steps towards friendship.
